i want people to know that i just deleted the xxx-rated story from the new member. why? because it gave me the creeps, really, and i'm the moderator, and so (after reading the input of a few folks), i made that call.

i appreciate the thought that people should be able to say what they want here, but we also have a longstanding atmosphere of respect and actual conversation. i found that that the subject of the story, which included incest, and appeared to be a fictionalized piece, to be inappropriate for this tribe. we are not a sex tribe, we're a social tribe.

being open about sexuality is a good thing, but time and place is important, and i felt this went over the line in its graphic nature. and as a longtime moderator of big lists, i have had people privately thank me for holding the line on questionable topics, because some things are really very traumatic for a number of people, though they are not likely to speak up themselves. and this one set off all of those alrarms for me.

so that's the story about the missing thread.

so if you're the original poster, and you'd like to interact with us in a personal way, please speak up. otherwise, i think that story belongs in a sex tribe or tribe for erotic fiction.
